Ndiolu Microfinance Bank Limited (NMFB) was established in 1995 as a Community Bank by workers of Anambra State Government, through a loan of N5 million provided by the Anambra State Government (ANSG). This loan was fully repaid through monthly deductions from the salaries of
workers who actually own the Bank. The Bank transformed into a Microfinance Bank in 2007 following a reform in the sub-sector that started in 2005.
Since inception the Bank had remained a Unit microfinance institution. However, when the administration of His Excellency, Dr. Willie Obiano, The Executive Governor of Anambra State came on board, the idea of First restructuring and repositioning the bank with a view of later upgrading it to a State micro finance bank came up. This led to assistance given to the owners of the Bank to institute the present
Board and management of the institution, effective january, 2015. The Bank is now transformed with improved banking products and services,
online real time connectivity with corresponding banks, instant fund remittances and other e-channel banking services - with many more ready, but only awaiting deployment.
